Alan Wong LLP office, Hong Kong

Our approach

Senior legal judgement, delivered with commercial clarity.

We are structured to give clients direct access to senior lawyers, clear advice and transparent fees. Our lawyers bring experience from international law firms, a Big Four professional services network and venture-backed businesses, allowing us to approach each matter with both technical discipline and commercial perspective.

Modern businesses need legal advisers who are responsive, precise and commercially aware. As an independent boutique, we are built to provide senior-led advice without unnecessary layers, while maintaining the rigour, judgement and discretion expected in high-value legal work.

FAQs

You have questions. We have answers.

How do you bill clients?

We work to clear, agreed fees. For many matters, we offer fixed fees or fixed monthly retainers, so you know the cost before we begin. Where hourly billing is more appropriate, we agree an estimate up front and keep you informed as the matter progresses.

Do your lawyers have experience at larger firms?

Yes. Our lawyers have trained and practised at international law firms, within a Big Four professional services network, and in-house at venture-backed businesses and investment funds.

What areas of law do you cover?

We advise on corporate transactions and M&A, fund formation, private wealth and trusts, commercial contracts, digital assets and Web3, AI governance, employment and more. Please see our capabilities page for further details.

Do you work with overseas and Mainland China clients?

Yes. We regularly act for clients across Asia and internationally, and advise on cross-border matters involving Hong Kong, Mainland China and other jurisdictions. We work in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Can you act as our outsourced general counsel?

Yes. Our fractional in-house counsel service gives growing companies access to a dedicated General Counsel on a fixed monthly retainer, with partner-led support in both English and Chinese.
